A Bemus Point man has been charged with petit larceny following a report of shoplifting in progress at a Jamestown-area supermarket. Ellicott Town Police responded to Wegmans on Fairmount Avenue in West Ellicott, where 61-year-old Ronald Caldwell allegedly left past the point of sale with unpaid merchandise. Caldwell was charged on July 28th and issued and issued an appearance ticket for Ellicott Town Court.
