Jamestown Police made a number of arrests for DWI in the city during the month of May. They included the following incidents:
On May 1st, officers saw a male slumped over the wheel of a parked vehicle in the area of Harrison Street and Institute Street shortly after 11:45 PM. Officers checked the male and identified him as 49-year-old Christopher Faulkman of Tidioute, Pennsylvania. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. Faulkman was charged with DWI.
On May 3rd, officers saw a vehicle operating without headlights in the area of West 3rd Street and Harding Avenue shortly after 1:30 AM. An investigation found that the driver, 30-year-old Joshua Pickering of Yorkshire, was allegedly intoxicated. Due to Pickering's criminal history, he was charged with felony DWI. He was also issued multiple traffic citations.
On May 23rd, Jamestown Police stopped a vehicle that committed a traffic infraction near the intersection with East 2nd Street and Buffalo Street. Further investigation found that 40-year-old Mark Weiss of Jamestown was allegedly driving under the influence. He was taken into custody without further incident and charged with DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and other traffic violations.
