Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies have charged a Mayville man after investigating a Friday evening altercation in the village. Deputies responded to the scene just before 9:00 PM and determined that 20-year-old Gaven Crandall allegedly physically struck another person. Crandall was charged with 2nd-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, and he was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
