A Dunkirk man was taken into custody for allegedly violating a stay-away order of protection on Wednesday. Dunkirk Police responded to a reported trespass in the area of Main Street and East 4th Street shortly after 3:15 PM. According to officers, the caller reported that 49-year-old Thomas Majkowski violated the order of protection by coming to their workplace. Majkowski was located a short time later across the street and taken into custody. He was charged with with 2nd-degree criminal contempt and issued an appearance ticket, then was turned over to State Police on an outstanding warrant.
