A Dunkirk woman is facing charges after she was stopped at a DWI checkpoint that was set up during "not Fred Fest" weekend in the Village of Fredonia. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Linda Matyjakowski on Central Avenue shortly after 9:00 PM Friday. Deputies say an investigation found that she was intoxicated. Matyjakowski was taken into custody after allegedly resisting and was charged with DWI, passing a red signal, failure to keep right, and resisting arrest. She will answer the charges in Fredonia Village Court at a later date.
