A Jamestown man who had an active warrant for his arrest was taken into custody on the city's north side early Thursday. Jamestown Police were conducting a street check at an undisclosed business shortly after 1:00 AM and told 19-year-old Calvert Ortolano to stop, but he proceeded to flee on foot. Officers say Ortolano was swiftly arrested after a foot pursuit. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with resisting arrest.
