Daniel H. Hornburg I, 65, of Stockton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in Wyoming, NY. He was born on September 10, 1956 in Dunkirk to the late David H. and Beverly R. Holdridge Hornburg.
Along with his parents, Daniel is predeceased by his siblings, Sherri and Randall. He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Near Hornburg; his children, Melissa (Mason) Riggle of Cassadaga, Daniel (Kristen) Hornburg II of Stockton, Sarah (Eric) Hornburg of Stockton and David Hornburg of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Erica (Jeff), Ethan, Journey, Paisley, Kyla, Riley, Ethan, Cadence, Hayden, Sonnet, Branson, Marylin, Henderson, Chloe, Kamryn and Kyah; great-grandchildren, Addison and Aurora; and siblings, Susan Baldwin of Hamlet, David "Skip" Hornburg of Wyoming, Robert Hornburg of Hamlet and Kevin Hornburg of Jamestown.
Daniel worked in the oil field for many years, drilling and consulting. Most recently, he was employed by Limestone Drilling in Wyoming, NY. Daniel was an entrepreneur and talented fabricator who could make any part or tool for whatever he was building. He enjoyed working on and rebuilding older Ford trucks. He was a legacy of the Hornburg Tire Farm in Sinclairville. He was a great dad, grandpa and great-grandpa, and also had a great love for his pets.
There will be a celebration of Daniel's life held at a later date to be announced.
