Two Jamestown residents are facing charges stemming from a fraud complaint in the Village of Bemus Point earlier this month. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to an address on Main Street on May 2nd and found that 51-year-old Scott George and 32-year-old Cody George allegedly forged a check, issued it to another person and obtained money from that person. Both men were arrested Tuesday and charged with 2nd-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, petit larceny, and issuing a bad check. Scott was also charged with 2nd-degree forgery. The two were released with appearance tickets for Ellery Town Court.
