A one-vehicle crash on Route 5 in the Town of Dunkirk early Saturday has led to charges against the driver. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene just before 2:00 AM and found that the driver, 37-year-old Jerrold Katerin of the Town of Dunkirk, was allegedly intoxicated. Katerin was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and speed not reasonable and prudent. He will answer the charges in Dunkirk Town Court at a later date.
