Three Jamestown men were arrested after a traffic stop revealed a quantity of drugs and a weapon. Jamestown Police officers conducted a traffic stop on Huxley Street near Front Street on Friday around 8:00 PM. During the traffic stop, it was determined that 55-year-old Randall Mesler, 48-year-old Stephen Cassidy, and 39-year-old Christopher Haberberger were all allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and a billy club. Cassidy was also allegedly in possession of fentanyl. All subjects were charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree due to all of them having been previously convicted of a wide variety of crimes. Mesler and Haberberger were additionally charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, while Cassidy was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. All subjects were held at Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
