
Officers arrested a woman in Jamestown after she nearly hit a police officer and struck a parked car before leaving the scene. Jamestown Police Officers were working on hot spot policing on Friday in the area of Falconer St and Sturges St around 9:54 pm. One officer on the scene was allegedly nearly hit by a motor vehicle, and was then observed allegedly striking a parked vehicle before leaving the scene. Officers later located the vehicle in the area of Buffalo St and Blackstone Ave where the driver was identified as 64-year-old Marcia Howie. After investigation it was determined that Howie was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Howie was arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she was charged with leaving the scene, driving while intoxicated, and driving while intoxicated per se. Howie was booked and released and will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court at a later date.
