Two high school students in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area made a trip to Rochester on Thursday to participate in this year's New York State School Music Association All-State Music Festival. Dunkirk High School senior Angelina Piede (left) will participate in the NYSSMA Conference All-State Symphonic Band and will perform with the orchestra on the French Horn. Meanwhile, Fredonia High School senior Abby Roth (right) will participate as a percussionist in the All-State Symphony Orchestra. Nearly 7,000 students vied for a seat in one of eight All-State ensembles. The NYSSMA All-State Music Festival runs through Sunday, December 4th.
