Chautauqua County Executive P.J. Wendel is the latest county executive in New York State urging Governor Andrew Cuomo to adopt guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to allow fully vaccinated people not to wear their masks. At least six county executives, Republicans and Democrats, have gone public urging Cuomo to adopt the CDC guidelines.
Update: Governor Cuomo announced at a briefing on Monday that New York State will adopt the CDC guidance on Wednesday, May 19.
