As the Brooks-TLC Hospital System has engaged in the fight against COVID-19 over the past few weeks, an outpouring of support and donations have continued to roll in to Brooks Memorial Hospital from individuals and organizations in the community and from around the country. Last week, the hospital received a donation of two pallets of gloves, N95 masks, and face shields from Harbor Freight Tools in Dunkirk. The Brooks-TLC staff has also received a flow of N95 respirators from local basements and garages; as well as hundreds of custom-made masks from friends, family and neighbors to help keep their loved ones at the hospital safe and healthy. Several hundred additional fabric masks have been sent by seamstresses from Virginia, and as far away as Wyoming, Idaho and Oregon, who are registered with the Deaconess Health System website.
Brooks-TLC wishes to express their sincere gratitude to these generous individuals and organizations for donating N95 masks, hand sanitizer, hospital gowns, fabric masks, and other supplies for use by staff. They include:
