With Governor Andrew Cuomo's order to increase the number of available hospital beds in New York State by 50%, work on a local option in place is continuing. Area congressman Tom Reed says with the state's 23rd Congressional District being a mainly rural district, they are working to make sure the health care resources that may be needed are available, and that includes the possibility of temporarily reopening Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
