A 48-year-old man died in a two-car accident in Cattaraugus County on Wednesday. Cattaraugus County Sheriff's deputies responded to Route 417 in the Town of Carrollton just after 4:15 PM. An investigation revealed that 47-year-old John McStraw, Jr. of Olean tried to pass a semi trailer and struck an oncoming car driven by a 48-year-old man from Killbuck. That man was pronounced dead at the scene. McStraw was arrested on charges including 2nd-degree vehicular manslaughter, DWI, and 1st-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
