Bills Fall to Jets, Rest Starters for Playoffs

With the playoffs on the horizon and the Buffalo Bills locked into the AFC's number 5 seed, Sunday's regular season finale against the New York Jets had the feel of a preseason game, as the Bills lost 13-6 at New Era Field.
The starters for the Bills (10-6) saw very little playing time, including quarterback Josh Allen, who played only two series. The Jets (7-9) scored the game's only touchdown on a 1-yard pass from Sam Darnold to Jamison Crowder early in the 4th quarter to break a 3-3 tie. The Jets added a field goal with 2:05 remaining to take a 10-point lead before Stephen Hauschka made his second field goal of the game to get the Bills within seven points with 47 seconds left. The Jets then recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal the win.
Matt Barkley played most of the game at quarterback for the Bills, going 18-for-35 for 232 yards and two interceptions. His top target on the day was Duke Williams, who had six catches for 108 yards.
The Bills will play at the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card Playoffs on Saturday, January 4th at 4:30 PM.
