Catholic Charities of Buffalo will have new leadership following an extensive five-month search by its Board of Trustees. Bishop Edward Scharfernberger recently announced the appointment of Deacon Steve Schumer as the organization's new President and CEO, beginning January 6th. Deacon Schumer will replace the retiring Dennis Walczyk, who has been Catholic Charities' CEO since 2003.
