The City of Dunkirk's animal control officer is stepping down. Steve Purol, who has held that position for the past 10 years, announced during a recent Common Council meeting that he will be retiring at the end of the year to pursue another opportunity. In his brief announcement, Purol wished the city "the very best" and thanked the city's staff for allowing him to serve as Animal Control Officer.
