Jamestown Police Domestic Dispute Arrests May 11-23

The Jamestown Police Department made several arrests resulting from domestic disputes during the month of May. They include the following:

On May 11th, officers responded to a residence on the city's east side shortly after 9:15 PM and determined that 46-year-old Jamie Clifton allegedly unlawfully restrained the victim. He then allegedly tried to hide from officers and refused to comply with their verbal commands. Clifton was also found to have a valid order of protection against the victim. He was charged with 2nd-degree criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, and resisting arrest.

On May 19th, officers were called to an address on the city's west side at about 12:30 PM for a past-tense domestic dispute. They learned that 37-year-old Timothy Press, Jr. allegedly violated an order of protection by engaging in a physical altercation and restraining the victim while in the presence of a 12-year-old child. Press was charged with 1st-degree criminal contempt, 2nd-degree unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, and 2nd-degree harassment.

On May 23rd, officers responded to an address on the city's south side at about 9:45 PM and found that 43-year-old Sarah Nickerson had allegedly violated a stay-away order of protection. Nickerson was charged with 2nd-degree criminal contempt.
