A Jamestown woman has been charged following investigations into two separate incidents in less than 24 hours. Jamestown Police were called to a larceny at Art Cloth & Craft at 108 East 3rd Street at about 4:00 PM Wednesday and learned that 42-year-old Chelline Occhipinti allegedly concealed store merchandise on her person in an attempt to steal it. Occhipinti was charged with petit larceny and released with an appearance ticket for Jamestown City Court. Then on Thursday, shortly after 8:00 AM, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at an address on the city's north side and noticed a female -- later identified as Occhipinti -- exiting a boarded-up window of a condemned house next door. Occhipinti was taken into custody again and charged with 2nd-degree criminal trespass. She was arraigned on that charge and held in the Chautauqua County on $2,000 bail.
