Sunday Sports Update
Top: Day 3 of the NFL Draft is typically where teams look to add depth to positions where they need it and find players who can contribute on special teams. That is what the Buffalo Bills did on Saturday, selecting players like Weber State defensive back Taron Johnson (left) and Clemson wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud (right). Bills GM Brandon Beane says the team was looking to fill immediate needs, but the versatility of the players they drafted on Saturday is a bonus. Photos by USA Today

Here, the team card of the Buffalo Sabres is held up during the announcement that they hold the 1st overall selection in this June's draft. Bottom right: The Boston Celtics have been an injury-prone team for much of the NBA season, and their depth was tested during their opening round playoff series with the Milwaukee Bucks. But on Saturday, Al Horford stepped up for the Celtics, scoring 26 points and pulling down eights rebounds in a 112-96 win in Game 7. The Celtics move on to face the Philadelphia 76ers.
