Top: The weather cooperated and the grounds were playable on Friday, which meant there was plenty of high school baseball and softball action across the area at the end of a week full of inclement weather. In Dunkirk, Peyton Ahlstrom (left) tagged out Chautauqua Lake's Devin Pope on the basepath, but Pope had the last laugh; he scored the game's only run and got the win in relief as the Thunderbirds edged the Marauders 1-0 in nine innings.
