Saturday Sports Update

Top: This year's NCAA Tournament has been very topsy-turvy.  So much so, that three teams seeded 9 or lower are in the Elite Eight.  And all three teams will be in action this evening, vying for a spot in the Final Four.  Kansas State, fresh off its upset of Kentucky, will face the tournament's Cinderella team, Loyola-Chicago.  Meanwhile, Florida State looks to continue its own improbable tournament run when the Seminoles battle Michigan.  Photos by the Chicago Tribune and Detroit Free Press

Bottom right: Ryan O'Reilly fires a shot toward goalie Antti Niemi during the Buffalo Sabres' game against the Montreal Canadiens on Friday at the KeyBank Center.  Nothing got past Niemi all night -- he stopped all 35 shots the Sabres put on net as the Canadiens won 3-0.  Photo by
