Sunday Sports Update
Top: The United States finally got into the medal column on Day 2 of the Winter Olympics. The first medal was won by 17-year-old Red Gerard (left). The Colorado resident won the gold medal in the slopestyle snowboarding event. Meanwhile, a New York resident, Chris Mazdzer (right) of Saranac Lake, grabbed the silver medal in the men's singles luge -- the first American male ever to achieve that feat. Bottom left: Could Leslie Frazier be on his way out of Buffalo? On Saturday, the NFL Network reported that the Bills' defensive coordinator was interviewed by the Indianapolis Colts, as that team seeks to fill its head coaching vacancy. Frazier joined the Buffalo Bills this past season and helped guide the team to its first playoff appearance since 1999, ending a 17-year-long drought. Photo by USA Today
Bottom right: The Buffalo Sabres pulled off a surprising road win on Saturday, 4-2 over the Boston Bruins, but it may have come at a big cost. Superstar Jack Eichel went down awkwardly during the 1st period and did not return to the game. Eichel suffered a lower body injury and was scheduled to be evaluated today. Image by MSG
