Do-or-die time for the Bills...down-to-the-wire college bowl action...and three of the top five in hoops go down.  Greg Larson has more details on today's Sunday Sports Update...

Sunday Sports Update

Top: Remember the last time the Buffalo Bills were in the playoff hunt entering the final week of an NFL regular season?  They faced the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004 (left), needing a win and a New York Jets loss to make the playoffs.  The Bills got help with the Jets loss, but they wound up losing to the Steelers 29-24.  Today, the Bills are in a similar situation -- they have to beat the Miami Dolphins and have either the Baltimore Ravens lose or have both the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers lose.  Sounds simple enough, unless you're trying to end the longest active playoff drought in the NFL.  Catch all the action today on WDOE (94.9 FM/1410 AM) at 4:25 PM, as the Bills take on the Dolphins, with postseason hopes on the line!  Photo on right from buffalobills.com

Bottom left: Penn State running back Saquon Barkley leaps in the air as he celebrates his 92-yard touchdown run in the Fiesta Bowl on Saturday.  Barkley ran 12 times for 129 yards and two scores as the Nittany Lions defeated Washington 35-28 at University of Phoenix Stadium.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom right: The Butler did it!  Conference play opened up across much of college basketball on Saturday, and in the Big East, Butler delivered big time, upsetting top-ranked Villanova by a score of 101-93.  Here, Paul Jorgensen knocks down one of his three three-pointers in the first half; he finished the contest with 23 points.  Photo by USA Today
