Sunday Sports Update

Top left: One of the main storylines for today's game between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots will be whether the Bills seek revenge against Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski for his cheap shot on Tre'Davious White three weeks ago.  But of greater importance, can Kyle Williams and the Buffalo defense get Tom Brady off balance and keep the Bills in good position in the AFC playoff race?  Tune in to WDOE (94.9 FM/1410 AM) at 1:00 PM to find out!  Photo from buffalobills.com

Top right: The Buffalo Sabres could not stop Justin Faulk and the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.  Faulk scored two goals in the 2nd period to help hand the Sabres a 4-2 loss.  With just 25 points right now, only the Arizona Coyotes have a worse record than the Buffalo Sabres entering the NHL's holiday break.  Photo from NHL.com

Bottom: One of the big local sports stories of the year 2017 was the Fredonia High School girls basketball program winning its first Section VI championship in 13 years and its first ever Far West Regional title.  All the players from that team unveiled a banner commemorating that feat during halftime of Friday's rivalry game against Dunkirk.  Photo by the Observer
