Saturday Sports Update
Top left: Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott addresses reporters during a news conference Friday afternoon at One Bills Drive. One of the messages McDermott had was that consistency is key. Thursday night's 34-21 loss at the New York Jets was, as McDermott put it, "uncharacteristic" of this year's Bills team, and they'll need to correct their mistakes ahead of next week's game against the New Orleans Saints. On Friday, Tanaka announced that he is not declining the option on his contract with the New York Yankees, which means he will stay in the Bronx through the 2020 season. Tanaka had an off year in 2017, going 13-12 with a 4.74 ERA, but saved his best for the postseason, registering two wins and an ERA of 0.90 in three starts. Photo by USA Today
