Saturday Sports Update

Top left: Jordan Spieth overcame a very wet and windy day at Royal Birkdale on Friday to take the lead after two rounds of the British Open.  Spieth shot a 69, while most of the field shot par or worse.  He entered today at -7, two shots better than Matt Kuchar.  Both are off to solid starts in Round 3, each shooting -3 on the front nine.  Photo from Golf Digest

Top right: The Buffalo Bills are in need of some veteran leadership at the wide receiver position, and they might be getting it soon.  Anquan Boldin, who has 14 years of NFL experience, is expected to pay a visit to the Bills on Monday.  Boldin has played for four different teams, most recently with the Detroit Lions, catching 67 passes for 584 yards and eight touchdowns in 2016.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom left: Aaron Judge rounds the bases in the top of the 5th inning in Seattle on Friday after crushing his MLB-leading 31st home run of the season.  The three-run homer gave the Yankees a 5-1 lead, but it was how far the ball went that got all the attention.  How far did Judge hit it?  MLB doesn't even know -- reports are that it was hit so hard, it "broke [MLB's] Statcast."  Photo by KREM-TV
