Top: The intensity in the NBA ratchets up a few notches today, with the start of the playoffs.  Players like Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Kyle Lowry will be looking to lead their teams toward the elusive Larry O'Brien Trophy.  LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers open today's action on the hardwood against the Indiana Pacers, Lowry and the Toronto Raptors begin their playoff run against Milwaukee, and Leonard's Spurs face the Memphis Grizzlies.  Image from NBA.com

Bottom left: Katie Yudin throws a pitch for the Fredonia State softball team during the first game of a doubleheader on Friday against Buffalo State.  Yudin took the loss, as the Blue Devils fell to the Bengals 7-3.  Fredonia State also lost the second game of the twinbill by a 2-0 score.  Photo by Ron Szot

Bottom right: The Montreal Canadiens celebrate Alexander Radulov's game-winning goal Friday night in Game 2 of the NHL's Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the New York Rangers.  Radulov's goal came late in overtime to give Montreal a 4-3 win and even the series 1-1.  The Canadiens forced overtime when Tomas Plekanec tied the game with 18 seconds left in regulation.  Photo by montrealcanadiens.com
