Top left: Fredonia girls basketball coach Carol Zirkle and her players celebrate their victory over Mynderse on Saturday in the New York State Class B Far West Regional at Buffalo State College. The Lady Billies won by a score of 55-46 to clinch their first ever trip to the state semifinals, to be played Friday, March 17th at 11:45 AM in Troy. Fredonia's opponent that day will be Irvington. Top right: Northstar Christian Academy sophomore Miles Brown steals the ball from Chautauqua Lake's Devin Pope during Saturday's Class C Far West Regional in Batavia. Brown did a lot for Northstar, scoring 38 points, pulling down 12 rebounds, and recording four steals, as the Knights defeated the Thunderbirds by a score of 77-70.
