On Saturday, May 12, 2018, Sandra Hogan of Ripley, formerly of Brocton, passed away in her home after a long illness of heart disease at the age of 78.
She is survived by her children, Timothy Auffhammer and his girlfriend Cindy of Hudson, FL, Kimberly (Bob) Wise of Fredonia, Tanya Hogan of Clayton, NC and Tamara Meyer of Fredonia. Her grandchildren, Krisie, Teresa, Tim, Tyler, Robert, Seth, Dylan, and Trystan are left to forever cherish her memory. Sandra was also a great-grandmother to six. She was predeceased by her loving son, Alexander Hogan; and her parents, James Burlingame and Virginia Brown Dean nee Bradley.
Sandra was blessed to have such wonderful neighbors, Jill and Steve Otto, who along with their children always brightened her day. Before her retirement, she worked with the blind and other disabilities at the Southern Tier Blind Association, Developmental Disabilities Services Office, and Southern Tier Environment for Living. Sandra loved gardening, decorating, reading, and writing which won her several poetry contest awards. Most of all, Sandra loved her family; nothing made her happier than seeing her family together. She always loved making photo albums of all the family pictures as well as keeping many around the house.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Sandra's honor be made to the Alzheimer Association or the Westfield Cat Rescue, 59 East Main St., Westfield, NY 14787.
The Morse Funeral Home of Brocton is assisting family with service arrangements.
