Coming to Jamestown at the age of 8, he was born February 5, 1920 in Jessup, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Marie Pulizzi D'Angelo. He and his late wife Grace spent the winter months in Cape Coral, FL for many years.

Ang was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from April 20, 1942 to December 10, 1945 during World War II. During his tour of duty, he served as a rifleman and was later assigned as a mess sergeant because of his experience working at the former Holsom Bread Company in Jamestown.

Before his retirement, he was a metal polisher for the former Crescent Tool Company and also served as the union steward for many years until the plant closing. He had also worked for the Weber-Knapp Company. He was also the Constable for the City of Jamestown for many years.

He was an avid sportsman, enjoying many years of bowling and golfing. He was a member of several leagues at the former Satellite Bowl and now the Jamestown Bowling Company. He served as chairman of several cancer bowl-a-thons and also was a bowling instructor. For his contributions to the sport of bowling in Jamestown, he was inducted into the Jamestown Bowling Council Hall of Fame in 1988. He loved the game of golf and was a very good short game golfer while a member of South Hills Country Club. In earlier years, he constructed an 18-hole executive golf course on the Trask Rd. and called it "BoBo" Links.

Surviving are three brothers, Vincent James D'Angelo of San Antonio, TX, Thomas (Mary Helen) D'Angelo of Johnson City, NY and Peter (Frances) D'Angelo of Jamestown; two sisters, Rose Crise of Fredonia and Mary Ann (Peter) Carlo of Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Grace Rizzo D'Angelo, whom he married August 21, 1943 in Fredonia and who died April 20, 2016; two sisters, Connie Palermo and Katherine Colera; and two brothers, Joseph D'Angelo and Anthony D'Angelo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16 in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15 in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 6:45 p.m. Sunday.
