Laird J. Eppinger, Sr., age 80, of the Town of Arkwright died Monday, February 5, 2018 at home. He was born December 14, 1937 to the late Earl and Carolyn (Schuler) Eppinger.
Laird is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Leckliter; a daughter, Sandy (Bob) Greenman; five sons, Laird Jr. (Kate), Harry (Bev), Jim (Tami), Mark and John Leckliter; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry (Sandy) Eppinger; and a sister, Carol Bane. Besides his parents, Laird is predeceased by his siblings, Earl Eppinger, Walter Eppinger, June Gunther and James Brown.
Laird was an outdoorsman that loved to hunt. He was also an avid and highly skilled pool player. Laird was a longtime member of the Fredonia Beaver Club. He had a heart of gold and loved helping everyone whenever he could. Laird was friends with many and will be missed by all.
Calls may be made Saturday, February 10 from 12:00-2:00 PM at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will immediately follow at the Fredonia Beaver Club, 64 Prospect Street, Fredonia.
