Robert E. Earsing died at his residence in Lily Dale on Friday, January 19, 2018, following a long illness. He was born on November 10, 1938 in Buffalo to the late Clarence and Loretta Earsing. He was 79 years of age.
Robert was a professional air pilot and worked for various air lines: Allegheny Airlines, AERON International of New York, and in his later years, as a company pilot for the AlTech Company in Dunkirk until his retirement. His passion was always flying even beyond his work career.
On July 26, 1958, he married the love of his life, Sharon Klenz in Buffalo. They had been married for 59 1/2 years. Robert and Sharon had lived in Lily Dale since 1982. Together, they raised a wonderful daughter and son. His family was very special to him, and he was also blessed to watch his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
Besides his wife, Sharon, Robert is survived by his daughter, Sandy Earsing of Lily Dale and son, Scott Earsing, of Silver Creek. He is further survived by his four grandchildren, Sarah Miller, Aaron, Joshua and Sean Earsing; one great-grandchild; his sister, Dolores Gambaborta of Buffalo; as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clarence Earsing, Jr.; and two sisters, Loretta Earsing and Gloria Masca, both of Buffalo.
Robert's funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 23 at 8 p.m. at the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 East Main St., Fredonia, with the Reverend Cara Seeking, MS, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service and may call at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
