Charles Dewey Little died late Thursday evening, January 18, 2018 at his home in Ripley after a short illness. He was the son of the late Frances Rice (Little) Pagano and Edwin D. Little.
Charles graduated from Ripley Central School in 1968 and the State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
After living in Santa Cruz, CA, he taught English in Japan for several years, returning to the United States in 1988. He then worked at the college bookstore at the University of Buffalo before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. He worked several years at a county nursing home and then became the caretaker of his mother. He also served on the board of the Ripley Free Library.
Charles is survived by his one sister, Jane Little Ashby, who is a resident of Tokyo, Japan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at the Ripley Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 11.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles' memory may be made to the Ripley Free Library and/or the Ripley Methodist Church.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Michael R. Fantauzzi, Director of the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 West Main Street, Ripley, NY.
