Charles L. Troutman

Charles L. "Charlie" Troutman, 64, of Archer Hill Road, Randolph passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the Town of Charlotte of natural causes following a medical emergency and automobile fire.

Charlie was born May 30, 1953 in Clarion, PA, the son of the late Clarence and Evelyn Houser Troutman. He attended Randolph and Falconer Central Schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., serving from November 2, 1970 until being honorably discharged from the reserves on November 1, 1976.

Charlie retired in 2015 from SKF-MRC in Falconer, where he had worked as a mill wright. He had also worked previously at Blackstone and Valeo in Jamestown.

He was a member of the Randolph American Legion Post 181 and the United Auto Workers Union. His interests included, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Charlie was a jack-of-all trades. He could work on anything with a motor, raced moto cross with his son, Jay and grandson, Jacob, built and raced go-carts with his grandson, Caden and he built the house he and wife, Robin live in today. He was also a welder, plumber and fabricator.

He is survived by his wife, companion and friend of 45 years, Robin L. Sischo Troutman; a son, Jay Bush and wife, Janelle of Jamestown; a daughter, Jennifer Lynne Pitchford of Thornton, CO; and 10 grandchildren, Jacob Bush, George Pitchford, Jr., Jared Pitchford, Ashley Pitchford, Jeremy Bush, Jeff Bush, Jaclyn Bush, Josh Bush, Caden Troutman and Caysie Troutman. He is additionally survived by his siblings, Larry, Ronald and Robert Troutman, all of Jamestown, and Clifford Troutman and Nancy Troutman of Brookville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Evelyn; a son, Chet C. Troutman on April 21, 2011; and a sister, Melinda Christesen.

A celebration of his life will take place at Charlie and Robin's home on Archer Hill Road in Randolph for close friends and family from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 14. Full military honors will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Randolph American Legion Post 181. No prior visitation will be observed, as per Charlie's wishes.
