Edward Jaquith

Edward "Big Ed" Jaquith, 77, of Cassadaga is at peace as of Tuesday, Januar 9, 2018. Born September 4, 1940 in Jamestown, a son of the late Edgar and Ceceila Woods Jaquith.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Ed was employed as a welder at Dahlstrom's in Jamestown for 29 years and Hope's Windows in Jamestown for eight years, retiring in 2005.

He was a member of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion 1280, International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers Local 470 and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

Ed enjoyed growing potatoes, hunting, tinkering with and fixing equipment, including fabricating anything. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching his sons what he knew.

Husband of 37 years to Donna Marie Lelonek Jaquith; father of Mark (Amy) and Mike Jaquith, both of Cassadaga; grandfather of Eva and twins Isabella and Alexa Jaquith and David Pisarcik of Akron, OH; brother of Janet (Larry) Waite of Dewittville, Eugene (Sally) Jaquith of Sinclairville, and Judy and Daniel Jaquith, both of Falconer. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 12 at Cassadaga Cemetery, Maple Avenue, Cassadaga, with military honors provided by Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements by the Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville.
