Edward O. Clark, 94, of Angell Road, Silver Creek died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Absolut Care of Dunkirk. He was born in the Town of Stockton on June 5, 1923. He was the son of the late George and Augusta (Herzog) Clark.
Mr. Clark served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a former member of the South Dayton American Legion Post #1593 for 20 years, and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret M. (Rugg) Clark of Virginia, whom he married in December of 1964; three daughters, Nancy Setlock of Phoenix, AZ, Judy Reynolds of Binghamton and Marie Hammond of Erie, PA; three sons, Greg Clark, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Wayne Phillips of Bristol, VA and Thomas Clark of Fonda, NY. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Georgia Rice Clark; and by two sisters, Harriet Manor and Thelma Jackett.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 4 at 11:00 AM from the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, with Rev. Carol Dill, pastor of the South Dayton United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Randolph Cemetery. Military Services will be conducted by members of the South Dayton American Legion Post #1593 in the funeral home.
