Barbara A. Spekczynski, 71, of Dunkirk died Friday, November 3, 2017 at home in Angola. She was born in Dunkirk on June 20, 1946, daughter of the late Peter and Stella (Matecki) Michalak.
A retired employee of the Dollar Store in the D & F Plaza in Dunkirk.
Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth and parish choir.
Surviving are her children, Adam (Misty) Spekczynski of North Carolina, Stephanie Spekczynski of Fredonia, Amanda (Jacob) Dye of New Jersey and Anthony Spekczynski III of Angola; grandchildren, Kyle Schrantz, Zachary, Tyler, Emily, Victor Spekczynski and Lorelai Dye, along with several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Alice Fischer; and brothers, Richard and Ronald Michalak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 11 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Private burial will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery.
