Ms. Ann Dingledy Rodie, 70, of Eugene, OR died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 after a long illness. She was lovingly attended at home by her husband, Louis Rodie and daughter, Armanda (Jean) Gossuin.

Ann was born on July 7, 1947 in Newark, OH and attended Cardinal Mindszenty High School in Dunkirk.

Ann was a ceramic artist who received her bachelor's degree at the State University of New York at Fredonia and a Master of Fine Arts at Pratt Institute in New York City. She was a teacher and potter for the Pottery Loft in Brooklyn, New York and the owner of the Brooklyn Museum Art School Art Supply Store and BJ's Graphic Supplies.

Ann loved to travel and visited Germany, France, England, and Japan. For many years, she was a host mother to visiting Japanese university students. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed tournaments with her Eugene partners. She appreciated the arts including opera, art museums, and galleries. Most of all, she cherished time spent with family, especially her grandson.

Her family and friends will always treasure her beautiful smile and creativity. About her art, she said, "I am a wife, mother, and artist and every day that I can do and teach ceramics is a glorious one."
