Dolores Whalen

Dolores (Warren) Whalen died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the age of 86.

Mrs. Whalen, an LPN, worked as program coordinator for the Chautauqua County Council on Alcoholism. In 1994, she was the recipient of the Elizabeth B. Hopkins Award, presented by the Everywoman Opportunity Center. She is probably best remembered for her work spreading the word of Bill Wilson.

She was a member of Unity Worldwide Ministries, an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a participant in "High Fever Follies."

Dolores lives on in her children, John (Barbara), Robert (Kathy), Daniel (Debra), Janet and Patricia Warren; and in her 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John Whalen; her brothers, John, Jim, Frank and Ted Miehl; and her sisters, Jean Helwig and Helen Piglowski.

A Unity Celebration of Life will be held in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Unity of Buffalo, 1243 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, NY 14209.
