Helen P. "Gram" Brinkman, 97, of Dunkirk passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
Helen was born October 13, 1919, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lola Brocksopp. A lifetime area resident, she was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
She, along with her husband, Walter, built, owned and operated Brinkman's Mobile Village on East Lake Road in Dunkirk.
Helen enjoyed gardening, needle craft, Skip Bo, Yahtzee, church activities, and friends; but most of all, her family.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Diana (Lee) Turk and Carol (William) Robinson; grandchildren, Barbara (Thomas) Calderon, Judy (Allan) Sprague, Michael (Donna) Turk, Randall (Denise) Feinen, Deborah Feinen and Shelly (Greg) James, great-grandchildren, Aaron Gajewski, Steven Gajewski, Stacey Potter, Kimberly Sprague, Brandon Feinen, Miranda Gill, Brianna Whittington and Ryder James, six great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Mary Brocksopp. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Brinkman; sisters, Doris Schrader, Fern Weishaupt and Alice Kuehn; and brothers, Robert Brocksopp and John (Jack) Brocksopp.
Calling hours are Friday, September 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16 at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Graveside service will be in Willowbrook Cemetery.
