Marvin Colin Stokes of Dunkirk died Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA after a long illness. He was born on June 4, 1935 in Corry, PA to the late Kenneth and Henrietta Stokes.
Following his graduation from high school, Marvin enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Korea. He was employed as a steel fabricator at True Temper Company in Dunkirk.
Marvin is survived by children, Kelly Manning, Karrie Engel and Colin Stokes; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and his daughter, Melissa Stokes.
All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Michael R. Fantauzzi, director and owner of the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 East Main St., Fredonia, and will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
