Ted N. Ames

Ted N. Ames, 56, of Sinclairville and longtime Stockton resident, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. He was born September 10, 1960 in Jamestown, a son of Phyllis Eddy Ames of Stockton and the late Noel Ames.

Ted was a 1978 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School. He was employed as a mason through Local 40, Brick Layers and Allied Craftsmen.

He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his dad and brothers and treasured time spent with his daughters.

He was a member of Odd Fellows Hunting Club, Stockton Volunteer Fire Company, and had held various offices, including Chief and Life Member of the Chautauqua County Fireman's Fraternity.

Father of Heather Ann, Meghan Noelle and Allison Lee Ames, all of Randolph; brother of Tammy Denison of Cassadaga, Noel Ames of Dunkirk and Todd (Aimee) Ames of Stockton; nephew of Jan Anderson. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23 in the Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 22. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton. A fireman's service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stockton Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 12, Stockton, NY 14784.
