Carl N. Emmott, 88, of Sinclairville went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Born January 10, 1929 in Jamestown, a son of the late Carl and Leona Golding Emmott.
He received his GED as an adult.
Carl was employed as a woodworker at Monitor Furniture and also worked in sales for Fuller Brush, John Hancock, and Valone's Restaurant Supply.
He was a member of the Sinclairville Baptist Church and had served as a deacon, trustee, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher.
Carl enjoyed making furniture in his garage, hunting and fishing.
Husband of 70 years to Maryellen Austin Emmott, whom he married on April 20, 1947; father of Lynda (Lyn) Hadley of Cherry Creek, David (Dawn) Emmott of Sinclairville and Kathy (John) Meabon of Rochester; grandfather of 12; great-grandfather of 37; brother of the late Mildred Haskell and Leland (Juanita of Sinclairville) Emmott. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18 in the Sinclairville Baptist Church, 9 Park St., Sinclairville. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 17 in the Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville.
