Linda I. Pryll, age 64, of Route 83, Arkwright died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a sudden illness. She was 64 years old. Born in Salamanca on June 22, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy Sayut Peters.
Linda had lived in this area most of her life and was a graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School. She worked as a cleaner at the Chautauqua County Home and Infirmary and a part-time teacher's aide at BOCES of Fredonia.
Mrs. Pryll was a member of the Salvation Army, the Fredonia Beaver Club, Dom Polski Club, Dunkirk World War II Club, and a former member of the Forestville Fire Police, Chautauqua County Fire Police, and the Response Team. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and crocheting.
Surviving include her husband, James Pryll of Arkwright; one son, Eric Pryll of Forestville; three stepsons, James (Melanie) Pryll of Forestville, Alan Pryll of Dunkirk and Mathew Pryll of South Carolina; a stepdaughter, Michelle Pryll of Dunkirk; seven brothers, Paul Peters, Jr. of Fredonia, Harold (Sue) Peters of Delavan, Kenneth Peters of Franklinville, Herman Peters of Jamestown, Duane Peters of Jamestown, and Raymond (MaryAnn) Peters of Fredonia and David Peters of Fredonia; and two sisters, Mrs. Diane Gray of Franklinville and Ms. Wanita Peters of Fredonia. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Brenner Pryll; and her sister, Shirley Koester.
Friends are invited to call Thursday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
