Hernando "Darito" Cardenas, Jr., 52, of Dunkirk died Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2017 at home. He was born February 6, 1965 in Brooklyn, the son of the late Hernando Cardenas, Sr. and Felicidad (Acevedo) Cardenas Escobar.
A Dunkirk resident since 1979, Hernando was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1983. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Survivors include three sisters, Diana (Edwin) Ruiz of Chicago, IL, Dannette (Douglas) Lopez of Dunkirk and Grace (Ryan) Janosek of Stafford, VA; three brothers, Joseph (Vanessa) Escobar of Dunkirk, and John Escobar and Emmanuel Escobar, both of Fredonia; two daughters, Felicia Jessie and Shantika Jessie; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
