Raymond C. "Shakey" Kelsey, Jr., 75, of 8572 Bear Lake Road, Fredonia went home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born August 12, 1941 in Brocton, the son of Raymond C. Sr. and Margaret Abers Kelsey.
Ray had worked for Bestway Disposal in Westfield for the past six years, 12 years for Hardenburg Grape Farm in Portland, and prior to that, he was an over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of the Inside Track Christian Fellowship.
Ray is survived by his one and only true love, Beverly Kelsey, whom he married on September 4, 1981; nine children, Melody (John) Amidon, Jeffrey (Lynn) Kelsey, RaeAnn (Mike) Carroll, Timothy (Tangie) Collins, Stephen (Sandy) Olson, Raymond C. Kelsey III, Lynda LaMaye, Patricia (Larry) Watkins and Audrey (John) Jackson; 31 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; many cousins; several extended family members and friends; and one lifetime friend, Tom Farnham. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four grandchildren, Heather, Ashlee, Andrew, and Angel; and a great-grandchild, Bradley.
It was Ray's wish to donate his body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Kelley Hill Cemetery, Stockton. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
