Betty Bowers Rodgerson, 100, formerly of Fredonia, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Williamston House in Williamston, NC. She was born in Bethe, NC on August 30, 1916 to the late Myrtle Craft and Roy Bowers, Jr. and was predeceased by her husband, James Anthony Rodgerson; sisters, Dorothy Rhodes, and Daphne Bowers; and brothers, Roy Bowers, Jr. Wilt Bowers, Franklin Bowers and Angus Bowers.
Betty was a homemaker and mentor of the Red Hat Sweeties.
Survivors include her daughters, Jeannie Rodgerson of Williamston and Pat Dillenkofer and husband, John of Dunkirk; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held Friday, February 24 at 11:00 AM at Martin Memorial Gardens by Rev. J.N. Baggett.
